I'm Taylor, the owner and trainer for Tail Talk Dog Training, LLC. I'm excited to offer my services to the Zeeland Michigan area, providing local dog training to help you and your furry friend build a stronger bond and improve behavior. Let's work together to create a well-behaved pup!​ This handsome pup with me is Meeko, a German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mutt rescued from a shelter in Muskegon Michigan.
My Story - from owner to Certified Trainer
My journey begins with Caesar, a beloved family dog who never received proper training and grew into an anxious and reactive companion. When he was 7 years old, I sought professional help and began a rigorous training regimen for him. With the right tools and consistent effort, Caesar’s behavior improved dramatically! Within a year, he stopped barking at every passing car, learned that "no" meant to stop and check in with me, and began interacting positively with other dogs.

Our bond deepened through training until his unexpected passing in 2022. His loss inspired me to pursue dog training professionally. After fostering several dogs and relocating to Michigan, I enrolled in the National K9 School for Dog Trainers with my new puppy, Meeko. In the spring of 2024, I became a Certified Professional Trainer and founded Tail Talk Dog Training to help others build strong, respectful relationships with their dogs.

In addition to my work with dogs, I’m a licensed mental health therapist working to help people navigate trauma, anxiety, and other life challenges. This background shapes my approach to training — blending empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of behavior, whether human or canine.

Through Tail Talk, I’m committed to promoting understanding and harmony between dogs and their owners. My journey is driven by a passion for education, empathy, and fostering transformative connections — for people and their dogs alike.
